In addition to the long-established chip manufacturers AMD and Nvidia, Intel now also wants to get involved in graphics cards. Graphics chips are not new territory for Intel. For example, most desktop and all mobile CPUs have had their own graphics units for ages.
These are best suited for office and multimedia applications, but the performance isn’t good enough for games. That should now change with the new Intel ARC A770 and A750 graphics cards.
In terms of performance, the Intel ARC A770 graphics cards are just above that of an AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT and well below an AMD Radeon RX 6700 (non-XT). The smaller version, the Intel ARC A750, is on par with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 in terms of gaming performance.
Our graphics card ranking shows the exact classification of the gaming performance. The chips in the two graphics cards ARC A770 and A750 are based on the Intel Xe HPG architecture. While he is in full development on the A770, he has been slightly castrated on the A750. In addition, the Intel Limited Edition A770 has twice the VRAM with 16 GB.
There are currently not many versions. With both the ARC A770 and the A750, you can choose between the reference design and a model from ASRock. It is currently unclear whether other graphics card models from other manufacturers will be added in the future.
The HardwareSchotte editorial team has listed the currently best Intel ARC A770 and A750 graphics cards with the current best prices.

Which power supply do I need for an Intel ARC-A770 or A750 graphics card?
In terms of consumption, there is hardly any difference between the Intel ARC A770 and A750. No wonder, since the A750 is a slightly trimmed A770. We recommend a high-quality power supply with at least 600 watts to operate a new Intel gaming graphics card. With other built-in power-hungry components, you should rather use at least 700 watts.
Depending on the model, an Intel ARC graphics card requires a 1 x 6 pin and 1 x 8 pin or 2 x 8 pin PCIe power connector for operation. The consumption is roughly at the level of an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti under load.

Nvidia RTX 3060 vs. Intel ARC A770 – which card is faster?
Here the result is very clear. With just about every game and every resolution, the Intel ARC A770 is ahead of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 thanks to new drivers. Upcoming driver versions will certainly be able to increase the lead even further. However, as soon as ray tracing comes into play, things look different. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 can score here and set itself apart.
Intel ARC A770 or AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT – which model is faster?
In this comparison, the AMD graphics card is very close overall. Depending on the game and application, however, the RX 6600 XT can sometimes have the edge. (Applies to the drivers as of December 2022)
Intel ARC A770 vs ARC A750 – how much faster is the larger model?
The comparison of the two new Intel graphics cards is extremely close. The difference in performance is only a few percent. In our performance ranking, you can see that the Intel ARC A770 is well above and the ARC A750 is on par with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060. At higher resolutions, the A770 can still make up a little ground due to the double memory.
